Getting in shape is a goal that many people have with health and fitness products, but it can be one that is not easily attained if you are not willing to give it your best shot. Take the time to understand what you need to do to achieve your goal and set realistic goals for getting in shape. Find ways to reward and motivate yourself for achieving milestones along the way. Do not just concentrate on the work in working out. Knowing a few fun exercises to include in your workout can help make things far more interesting. By reading these tips, you can optimize your workout.

Music is a key motivator when working out. You will discover that your body moves naturally with the rhythm of the music. As the Law of Inertia states, once in motion, objects continue in motion until exterior forces are present. Start dancing and you will not be able to stop! Dancing takes the tedium out working out because it?s fun to do.

TIP! Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going. -Jim Ryan

Get your friends together to help you work out. Work outs go by more quickly when you have people around to have conversations with. It allows you to focus on the pleasant company you are with rather than on your body. In addition, it is an excellent way to socialize when you don?t have a lot of time. You can have a lot of fun when you exercise with friends.

It is easier to workout if you are not dwelling on the fact that you are exercising. A great system is to use exercise video games. There is a large variety of games to grab your interest. Try some bowling, tennis, golf, or skiing games to get your blood pumping. Or maybe you would like to engage a virtual opponent in a boxing match? With a remarkable variety of options, video games workouts make it easy to find ones that will help get you up and moving before you even realize you are exercising.

TIP! It?s never too late to become what you might have been. -George Elliot

Go to the mall and get some workout clothing. Try to find items that accentuate your figure and that you will enjoy wearing. When choosing your workout outfit, add some of your own style and creativity to it. Exercise clothing is made in lots of different styles and colors, so there are lots of ways to express your personality! If you feel great about the clothing that you wear, you will feel great about exercising in them.

The surest way to keep boredom at bay is to change your workout routine regularly. The goal is to stay engaged so you don?t drop your routine even for one day. Update your routine to keep it interesting. Once you lose interest, it will be almost impossible to get that motivation back.

Stay excited about keeping fit when you plan a series of reward points. Do not wait until you reach your ultimate goal to reward yourself. Pick small rewards when you meet your goals. Some examples of ways to reward yourself include a new clothing item, piece of musical gear, or a small portion of your favorite dessert. No matter what kind of reward you give yourself, make sure it?s something you really want and something you can actually get. You will go further with your fitness efforts if you have sufficient motivation.

Euro zone crisis drags down European ad spending: report

LONDON (Reuters) - The euro zone crisis has left Western Europe the only world region to see a fall in advertising spending this year, market research group ZenithOptimedia said.

The forecasting group said advertising expenditure in Western Europe fell 2.2 percent to $106.8 billion this year compared with an average increase of 3.3 percent worldwide.

North American ad spending rose 4.1 percent to $171.9 billion and Asia's expenditure was up 6.1 percent to $140.1 billion this year.

"Developing markets, social media and online video are all growing rapidly, supporting continued expansion in global ad expenditure despite stagnation in the eurozone," said Steve King, global chief executive of ZenithOptimedia Group.

The company, part of advertising agency Publicis, also said European ad spending would be flat next year before growing by about 2 percent in 2014 and 2015.

This leaves Europe lagging faster-growing regions such North America, which will grow by 3.5 percent next year, as well as Asia (5.5 percent) and Latin America (10 percent).

"The euro zone crisis is dragging down economic growth at the moment," ZenithOptimedia said on Monday.

"Because the eurozone is in recession, its imports from other countries are slowing down or shrinking, and the risk of eurozone collapse adds to global uncertainty, leading companies to hoard cash instead of investing in growth," the firm said in an emailed statement.

Ad spending generally tracks economic growth, so recessions tend to hit the shares of advertising agencies, including market leaders WPP, Omnicom, Interpublic Group and Publicis.

ZenithOptimedia said global ad expenditure would rise 4.1 percent next year to reach $518 billion, driven largely by faster growth in the developing markets.

Putin visits Turkey amid differences over Syria

ISTANBUL (AP) ? The blossoming trade relationship will be the focus of a one-day trip to Turkey by Russian President Vladimir Putin, though differences between the two countries over the conflict in Syria will likely be aired.

Putin's visit to Istanbul on Monday is his first trip in two months. The unusual break in his travel schedule fed speculation that the 60-year-old Russian leader is suffering from serious back trouble or another illness. His spokesman has attributed Putin's discomfort to a pulled muscle, and the president has appeared more mobile in recent days.

During the talks, Turkey is likely to argue for tougher action against Syrian President Bashar Assad. The Kremlin has shown no inclination of relinquishing its support for its last Middle East ally, whom it has shielded from international sanctions and continued to provide with weapons during an escalating civil war.

Putin's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, told reporters in Istanbul that disagreements between Russia and Turkey over Syria will not jeopardize their strong economic ties. Turkey, for example, is a top consumer of Russian natural gas, while Russia is a major market for Turkish construction companies.

"Our bilateral ties are quite diverse, with a broad agenda and a range of specific projects both for today and for the future," Peskov said. "At the same time, there are many serious disagreements regarding international issues. They don't affect bilateral ties, but differences on regional issues are substantial."

Peskov added that the economic ties between the two create "a strong basis for solving other problems."

Russia and China have used their veto power at the U.N. Security Council to block any U.N. sanctions on Assad's regime over its crackdown on an uprising that began in March 2011. Advocates say at least 40,000 Syrians have been killed in the fighting since then.

Moscow has also insisted that it would honor weapons contracts signed earlier with Syria for the delivery of anti-ship and air-defense missiles. Despite Western demands to halt the trade, the Kremlin has argued that the sales don't violate any international agreements.

Russia and Turkey were recently at loggerheads over Syria.

In October, Russia reacted angrily to Turkey's decision to force a Syria-bound passenger plane flying from Moscow to land in Turkey because Turkish officials said there was military equipment on board. Moscow said the plane was legally carrying radar parts for Syria.

Yuri Ushakov, Putin's foreign affairs adviser, has said the incident may come up during Putin's talks with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. However, he signaled that Russia was not going to press its argument, saying the cargo, which has remained in Turkish hands, belongs to Syria.

And while Russia has voiced concern about the planned deployment of NATO's Patriot air-defense missiles on Turkey's border with Syria, it has carefully balanced its statements on the subject and avoided any sharp criticism of Turkey itself.

Ushakov said a candid exchange of views with Turkey will help "if not narrow the gap, at least understand each other's moves better."

The talks are ostensibly meant to focus on trade. Ushakov said trade between the two countries, which totaled $32 billion last year, is expected to grow to $100 billion in the coming years.

Among other projects, Russia is building Turkey's first nuclear power plant. Turkey is also a top travel destination for Russians, with more than 3.5 million Russian tourists visiting last year.

Putin had been expected to visit Turkey in October, but he postponed that and several other foreign trips, and instead spent most of the past two months at his suburban residence.

Various explanations have been put forward for Putin's discomfort, which first appeared at a summit of Asia-Pacific leaders in Vladivostok in early September.

The business daily Vedomosti claimed Putin had injured his back shortly before the summit in a widely publicized flight in a motorized hang glider.

Peskov, Putin's spokesman, has portrayed Putin as a robust athlete who pulled a muscle during judo training, while his chief of staff, Sergei Ivanov, said Putin had sustained a "light sports injury."

Putin has not traveled by air since two brief trips in early October, one to Ulyanovsk, a city 725 kilometers (450 miles) from Moscow, and the second the next day to Tajikistan, a former Soviet republic in Central Asia.

Putin plans to visit Turkmenistan on Wednesday and make other foreign trips before the end of the year.

November brought growth throughout Ford's product portfolio in the U.S., with car sales up 15 percent, utilities up 2 percent and trucks up 4 percent.??

"November represented a strong month for the industry, and Ford sales performed well across the board," said Ken Czubay, Ford vice president, U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service. "We saw sharp increases in demand for Ford's fuel-efficient small cars, our best-ever month for electrified vehicles and growing demand for our fuel-efficient and capable F-Series pickups."

Ford had its best small car November sales month since 2000, with Focus, the all-new C-MAX Hybrids and Fiesta sales totaling 26,848 vehicles ? a 76 percent increase over last year. Focus sales were up 56 percent versus year-ago levels, while the all-new C-MAX Hybrid lineup gained 52 percent versus October, when the C-MAX Energi went on sale.

The Ford F-Series, America's best-selling vehicle, posted an 18 percent increase, with 56,299 vehicles sold in November. This represents F-Series' best November since 2005 and 16 straight months of year-over-year sales increases.??

ORIGINAL:?All of the major auto manufacturers, including GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, and Honda, report monthly sales figures today.

Chrysler kicked things off this morning, announcing a 14 percent rise in November sales from the previous year. However, analysts were expecting a 16 percent gain.

Nonetheless, it was Chrysler's best November in five years. One executive shrugged off the fiscal cliff in the press release and hinted that Hurricane Sandy still is weighing on sales:

?Even with all the talk of a looming fiscal cliff, Chrysler Group is well positioned for a strong sales finish to the year,? said Reid Bigland, President and CEO ? Dodge Brand and Head of U.S. Sales. ?Our November sales were up 14 percent and we extended our sales streak to 32-consecutive months of year-over-year sales gains. We are expecting a strong December as the industry continues to recover from the East Coast hurricane and consumers continue to respond to our popular year-end Big Finish event.?

Ideas to Help You Calm Nervousness about Internet Based ...

Posted by CortinasSkeen999 on December 1, 2012 in Business Products & Services |

Online dating has become ever more accepted in the last few years. When it first began it was deemed a bit cheesy and shady. Now that more and more people are using the service, society is welcoming it more. Nonetheless, many people are still worried about the security of online dating and the lack of personal intimacy. There are many dating experts who give applicable dating advice but not all the information is relevant to online dating.

Fortunately, online dating advice is growing into a more widely used topic for relationship coaches. There are even some specialist who only place emphasis on Internet dating advice. This dating relationship advice gives tips on how to set-up your personal ad, how to stay in contact with the right prospects and even first date advice.

If you have not yet tried out an online dating service it may be worthy of a shot. Go through a blog page or two by an expert on online dating and see if it sounds somewhat like something you would be attracted to. Then take into consideration signing-up for relationship coaching. This means someone will be with you every step of the way, to respond to your questions and hear your precautions. If you are unable to find someone who is only an online relationship coach, make sure to find an individal who at least has knowledge in the topic.

After looking over a little bit of dating online advice we have located four major ideas.

1) Be safe. This really should go without speaking. Although most providers do there best to make safety a priority, it is necessary to use your brain. Set security standards for yourself before you even start. For example, on your first meeting make sure you are in a community spot. Meet up there instead of having your date pick you up.
#2 Know the basics. Before you make a mistake you regret, read some dating advice online. Once again, we believe that coaching for relationships is amazing. If you choose not to use a relationship coach, make sure you have a close friend or other person to consult. Often time just talking about a situation can help you make better choices.
3) Be true to yourself. This is a bit of clich? dating relationship advice but it is important. The leading way you can follow this during Internet dating is when establishing your personal ad. Keep in mind that you need to put your best feet forward but it is also necessary to be straightforward. If you let potential dates know about yourself at the beginning, there is better probability you will find some body who will love you for who you are. Furthermore, you will be more calm on dates knowing you can relax and be yourself.
#4 Know what is vital to you. Do not have a long list of superficial criteria but discover your key values. Finding someone who has the same opinions and ideals is absolutely necessary if you want a long-term relationship. Also keep in mind to know what your goals are in life and find the person who will support you on that route.

Those are the essentials. Hope they helped you to be a bit less worried and a bit more certain. And best of wishes finding a long term partner and supporter.

Extended sleep reduces pain sensitivity

ScienceDaily (Dec. 1, 2012) ? A new study suggests that extending nightly sleep in mildly sleepy, healthy adults increases daytime alertness and reduces pain sensitivity.

"Our results suggest the importance of adequate sleep in various chronic pain conditions or in preparation for elective surgical procedures," said Timothy Roehrs, PhD, the study's principal investigator and lead author. "We were surprised by the magnitude of the reduction in pain sensitivity, when compared to the reduction produced by taking codeine."

The study, appearing in the December issue of the journal SLEEP, involved 18 healthy, pain-free, sleepy volunteers. They were randomly assigned to four nights of either maintaining their habitual sleep time or extending their sleep time by spending 10 hours in bed per night. Objective daytime sleepiness was measured using the multiple sleep latency test (MSLT), and pain sensitivity was assessed using a radiant heat stimulus.

Results show that the extended sleep group slept 1.8 hours more per night than the habitual sleep group. This nightly increase in sleep time during the four experimental nights was correlated with increased daytime alertness, which was associated with less pain sensitivity.

In the extended sleep group, the length of time before participants removed their finger from a radiant heat source increased by 25 percent, reflecting a reduction in pain sensitivity. The authors report that the magnitude of this increase in finger withdrawal latency is greater than the effect found in a previous study of 60 mg of codeine.

According to the authors, this is the first study to show that extended sleep in mildly, chronically sleep deprived volunteers reduces their pain sensitivity. The results, combined with data from previous research, suggest that increased pain sensitivity in sleepy individuals is the result of their underlying sleepiness.

caspian warmer: jugindarsharma8: Shopping and Product Reviews ...

The popularity of online shopping has been seen by many as a threat to the existence of traditional shopping. Their argument is based on the recent widespread closure of established brands like Sears and Best Buy. But can we really say that traditional shopping is dying?

In 2011, even though the U.S economy was sluggish, shopping grew by 15% over the previous year. In addition, about 35% of Americans now have smartphones which enable them to purchase goods and services over the internet and this figure is expected to rise significantly in subsequent years. In actual fact, about half of smartphone users have used their phones for one purchase or the other. On Christmas day of 2011 alone, about 6.8 million iOs and Android smartphones were activated. Top internet retailer, Amazon, recorded a whooping net sale of $48.08 billion in 2011 which represents 40.6% increase over $32.20 billion recorded in 2010. This figure is expected to rise in 2012 and subsequent years. What then is the implication of all these to physical retailing?

Since many people now decide to shop over the internet due to the benefits derivable in doing so like convenience, easy access to market, price comparison, avoidance of crowd, better prices and so on, can we really say that that the traditional way of shopping is being threatened? In my own opinion, technology will enhance the traditional method and not kill it. The popularity of video cassette recorder (VCR) in the 80's was seen by many as a threat to movie theaters then, but today, the film industry has been strengthened by the new technology and the demand for films has increased.

Moreover, when the email became very popular, a lot people thought that the traditional postal service would die, but today, it is waxing stronger. The point I'm driving at here is that, if traditional shop owners can embrace new technology, shopping on the internet would not be a threat to them but a blessing.

If physical retailers can monitor shopping behavior through the use of Wi-Fi signals from smartphones, they would be able to compete favorably in a fast-changing world. They can use technology to measure loyalty, make better staffing decisions, improve store layouts, reduce wait times in checkout lines and so on. Online shopping has come to stay but it is not a threat to traditional shopping because many consumers still value some of its features like quality of customer service, the experience of trying and buying products, how products are displayed and so on.
